2026-09-30: Read messages are kept 72 hours after download, up from 24. A system message is marked read when it is listed and purged 72 hours later. purgeMessages deletes read messages and system messages now. The daily status email: one email a day at 07:00 local time when something is waiting for you; setDailyStatus changes the time or turns it off.
